Lost In Time Matches A Rocknroll Dance With Governor’s Cup Victory

Metro Pace winner Lost In Time emulated his sire A Rocknroll Dance with a hard-fought win in the $411,700 Governor’s Cup at the Meadowlands on Saturday.

Settling in third position off the gate it wasn’t long before Lost In Time was sent to the front by Scott Zeron. Approaching the three-quarter marker Lost In Time was joined by the Breeders Crown winner Stay Hungry on the outside and the pair went stride for stride in the straight. Despite Stay Hungry briefly heading Lost In Time at one point, the determined colt fought back to score a narrow victory.

It was Lost In Time’s fifth win from nine starts, taking his career earnings to $687,432. Like his sire was in 2011, Lost In Time is the richest 2-year-old pacing colt in North America this year and he looks likely to go one better than A Rocknroll Dance when it comes to the 2-year-old Pacing Colt of the Year title.

Bred by Diamond Creek Farm, Lost In Time is out of the Artiscape mare Summer Mystery.

A Rocknroll Dance has enjoyed a spectacular debut season in North America and is currently in third position on the US 2YO Pacing Sires table – an incredibly impressive feat given a foal crop of only 69 foals.
